AS A PROPERTY OWNER IN THE TWIN HARBORS SUBDIVISION,
I AGREE TO ACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING
RULES GOVERNING USE OF THE TWIN HARBORS RECREATION
AREA.
RECREATION RULES
1. The pool will open on May 1st and close on
September 30th. The pool hours are:
Sunday thru Thursday - 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday - 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
2. A "property owner" is the name listed on
the Polk County "assessment of property" for Twin
Harbors. This is the name in the Twin Harbors
computerized database. Renters are allowed the
same rights as "property owners" if THPOA has
in it's files a written notice of responsibility
from the property owner accepting responsibility
for the actions of renters.
3. Only children over age 18, spouse and parents
of property owner(s) are considered immediate
family.
4. Property Owner(s) or an immediate family
member must accompany guests and are limited to
four (4) guests using the pool at one time. Children
under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult,
defined as someone 18 or older.
5. ALWAYS lock the gate upon entering and leaving
the recreation area.
6. Each property owner is allowed to have one
key. You may obtain keys on Saturday from 8:00
a.m. through 4:00 p.m. when the office is open.
A key will be issued for a refundable $15.00 deposit.
It may take 30 days or longer to obtain a key.
7. Recreation area keys are NOT to be loaned
or given to any non-property owner. Any key found
in the possession of anyone other than a property
owner or his immediate family will be confiscated
and key deposit forfeited.
8. Recreation area keys are the property of
the THPOA and must be returned when the person(s)
holding the key are no longer property owners
in the Twin Harbors subdivision.
9. Proper swimming attire required in the pool--no
cutoffs or babies without diapers.
10. There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY, YOU SWIM
AT YOUR OWN RISK.
11. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by any
one under the legal age is not permitted in the
recreation area.
12. Rubber soled shoes must be worn in the basketball,
volleyball and tennis court area.
13. The property owners and all guests will
follow all posted or published rules governing
the use of the pool, tennis courts, picnic area
and boat ramps.
14. ALL PROPERTY OWNERS are responsible
for the conduct of persons using the recreational
facility. If you see a violation of these rules,
as a property owner, you should remind the offender
of their violation. Property owners area responsible
for the safety of their families and guests and
liable for any property damage they may cause
to the facility.
The following procedures will be followed to enforce
the rules:
a. Upon receiving a complaint from a property
owner for anyone's non-compliance with these rules,
the members of the Board of Facilities Committee
will attempt to substantiate the offense.
b. If the offense is substantiated, the
property owner will be sent a letter detailing
the offense.
c. Upon substantiation of the offense, the Board
of Directors will suspend the offender.
d. The first offense will result in a 30-day
suspension from the recreational club area. The
second offense will result in a 12-month suspension
from the recreational club area.
e. An Offender has the right to appear before
the Board to appeal the suspension.
