Company B, First Texas

We are a War Between
the States Re-enactment organization based in Livingston, Tx. We portray
Company B, 1st Texas Infantry ( Livingston Guards), Confederate States
of America. They were one of three Texas Infantry Regiments which were
part of the Texas Brigade, Longstreet's Corps, Army of Northern Virginia.
Company B was organized on April 1, 1861 in Livingston, Polk County, Tx..
They saw extensive action in both the Eastern and Western theaters of War.
When the 1st. Texas was surrendered at Appomatox, not an original member
of Co. B was left.
We are a member of the Trans-Mississippi Volunteer Infantry Battalion, Mississippi Valley Brigade (Johnson's Brigade), 1st Confederate Division.
