The Polk County Memorial Museum is the responsibility of the Polk County Historical Commission, appointed by the Polk County Commissioner's Court.
The purpose of the Commission is to locate, mark, restore, preserve and interpret such sites, items, and information which will help
future generations to better understand and appreciate their heritage.
The Commission consists of officers, committee chairpersons and other individuals needed to provide representation on the important
social and economic interests that are relevant to the citizens of Polk County.
The Commission acts as liaison between the County and the state Historical Commission.
The Polk County Historical Commission presently consists of the following members:
