Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0 Livingston.net Email Setup

![]() 1) Connect to the internet, then open Outlook Express. Once Outlook Express is open Click on "Tools" and then click "Accounts" like shown above. A new window will appear.
2) When accounts is open click on the tab called "Mail" then click on "Add" Select "Mail" from the list given. This window will appear:
3) Now you need to enter in your name or internet alias (Example - Joe Smith). Then click "Next." Another window will appear.
4) Now you need to enter your e-mail address that was specified by Livingston.net. (Example - johnsmith@livingston.net) Then click "Next." A New window will appear. If you do not know this information please call Livingston.net at 936-328-1146.
5) Set your mail server settings EXACTLY AS SHOWN ABOVE. This information is case sensitive. When you have double checked, click "Next." A new window will appear.
5) Enter your account name. (For example: if your email is johnsmith@livingston.net, you need to enter 'johnsmith' excluding the quotes). NOTE* This field is also CASE SENSITIVE. 6) Enter your password that you specified to Livingston.net. NOTE* This field is also CASE SENSITIVE. Enter it exactly as given. 7) Click "Next." A new window will appear.
8) Enter the name you want it to appear as when you open your mail. (this name is for your personal use only no one else will see this. Example - My E-Mail). Then click "Next" to continue.
9) Outlook will now ask you for your internet connection settings. If you are using a modem Click "Connect Using my phone line." If you are using DSL then click "Connect using my local area network (LAN)." Then click "Next" to continue to the next window.
10) Click on "Use an existing Dial-up connection." Make sure Livingston.net is highlighted in the list. Then click "Next" to continue.
11) This screen comes up confirming that you have created the account. Now click "Finnish" to complete the account creation wizard.
8) You are almost done! Check to make sure that your Internet Accounts Screen now looks something like this. Then Click "Close." Click "Send and Receive." to check for new mail.
