Windows ME Livingston.net DSL Setup

1)    From the Windows ME desktop, right click on the "My Network Places" icon and select "Properties."

You should see something like this:

2)    Next Determine if TCP/IP protocol is installed as shown above. If it is not installed, install it. (To install TCP/IP protocol from the above windows click the "Add" button and select TCP/IP protocol, then click "OK") Next, make sure that TCP/IP is highlighted over your current DSL network card (For Example: TCP/IP->3com Network Card), then and click on "Properties."

4)    Enter your Livingston.net specified IP address. (For example: 111.111.111.111)  If you have lost the sheet that was given to you by Livingston.net containing your IP address and default gateway, give us a call at 936-328-1146.

5)    Enter your subnet mask as shown above. Then select the "Gateway" tab.

6)    Enter your Livingston.net specified default gateway. (For example: 222.222.222.222) If you have lost the sheet that was given to you by Livingston.net containing your IP address and default gateway, give us a call at 936-328-1146. Then click the "Add" button.

7)    Now select the "DNS Configuration" tab.

8)    Enable the bullet "Enable DNS." Enter the host (your username), and domain  as shown above.

Then enter the DNS Server Search Order as shown above (207.113.12.1 & 207.113.12.2), clicking "Add" after each IP Address.  Then click "OK."

9)    Your computer must now be rebooted.

    Congratulations! You did it! You may now enjoy high speed DSL from Livingston.net!
