Windows XP Livingston.net Dial-up Setup

1) Know your username and password. 2) Determine your dial-up networking telephone number. 3) From the Windows XP
Start Menu, Select "Control Panels". Double Click on
"Network and Internet Connections." 4) Next double click on "Set up or change your Internet connection."
5) Click on the "Setup" button to continue.
6) The following wizard should appear. Select "Next."
7) Make sure that "Connect to the Internet" is selected then click on "Next."
8) You will have to bubble in the option of "Set up my connection manually."
9) Since you connect using a modem and a phone line you should select the "Connect using a dial-up modem." Then Click on "Next."
9) Now lets identify the connection as "Livingston.net". Then click "Next."
10) The next window is going to ask you for the phone number. If you are not located in Fallbrook, then lookup a dial-up number from here.
11) Now we must enter in your User Name and Password. These fields are case sensitive.
12) Then close the Dial-up Networking screen and if you notice there will be a "Shortcut to Livingston.net" icon on the desktop. Double click on that icon and you will get the following screen.
13) Click on "Finish" to end this Wizard you will return back to "Network and Internet Properties." Once there, click on "Internet Options". Make sure the connection tab looks exactly as shown below.
14) Click "OK." Then click on "Network Connections."
15) Now you should see a window similar to the one displayed below.
16) Right click on "Livingston.net" and left click on "Properties." Click on the "Networking" tab.
17) Highlight the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click on "Properties".
18) Enter the DNS Configuration Exactly as shown above. Then click "OK" and then "OK" again. You are all setup and will be able to connect. Note: Your username and password are case sensitive.
