The Rt. Rev. Theodore Daniels is Assistant Bishop of Texas. Formerly bishop of the Virgin Islands, Bishop Daniels has oversight of the Austin, Central and Northwest Convocations of the diocese. His office is at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest, Austin.

Bishop Daniels was born in Panama and speaks fluent Spanish. He also has a doctor of divinity from General Theological Seminary.

Following his ordination to the priesthood in 1969, Bishop Daniels served several churches in Panama, was active in Cursillo, director of youth work and served as a college chaplain. He came to the United States as rector of St. Luke's, Columbia, South Carolina in 1980 and later served churches in Maryland and Washington D.C. He was elected Bishop of the Virgin Islands in 1997.
